What is VineBlocks?

Everything children love about blocky sandbox games — building, mining, crafting, farming, exploring — reimagined around stewardship, generosity, and Scripture instead of combat and strangers. No monsters to fear, no one who can message your child. It runs right in the browser, with nothing to download.

Build & craft

Gather wood, stone, and sand; craft planks, bricks, and glass; place whole prefab structures; and raise anything they can imagine.

Grow & provide

Plant and harvest wheat, bake bread, and fish the lakes — a peaceful loop of honest work and provision.

Explore the Bible

Visit Bethlehem and the empty tomb, walk into the Tabernacle built to Exodus spec, and discover verses along the way.

Walk Through the Bible

Follow the whole story as places to discover — Creation, the Flood, Sinai, the Tabernacle, Bethlehem, the empty tomb, and a glimpse of heaven.

A living, seasonal world

Hand-styled sheep, wildlife, and trees that blossom in spring, shed their leaves in autumn, and stand snow-laden in winter — the garden changes with the real seasons.

Play together, safely

Share a private world with a group code and build side by side — with no chat and no strangers, ever.

How VineBlocks protects your child

The safe choices aren’t buried settings you have to find — they’re simply how the game works.

  • No chat, ever. No way to type to another player — only movement and a few pre-approved emoji. No one can send your child words.
  • No strangers. Multiplayer is off by default and private-invite only. There is no public/stranger world to wander into.
  • No child accounts, no personal info. Your child never signs up, logs in, or gives a name, email, age, photo, or location — names come from a fixed, safe list. (A parent or leader may optionally create their own account to manage settings; children never do.)
  • No ads, no purchases, no tracking. It’s free, with nothing selling to or profiling your child.
  • Parent controls. A daily play limit (“Sabbath Rest”) winds the game down gently, behind a parental gate.
  • No violence. No combat, no gore, no scary content — challenges are met with faith and kindness, not fighting.

Formed through play

What your child will learn

Every part of the game gently points to Scripture and Christlike character. The lessons aren’t lectures — they’re lived out in what your child chooses to do.

Love your neighbor

Feed the hungry, clothe the cold, and give to the poor — meeting people in need face to face. “You did it to Me.” (Matthew 25:40)

God’s Word

Read and remember Scripture (NKJV) woven through the world, and grow the Fruit of the Spirit. (Galatians 5:22)

Stewardship

Tend a garden and care for animals — to “dress it and to keep it,” learning creation is a gift to steward. (Genesis 2:15)

Generosity over greed

A biblical economy where the harvest is for provision, worship, and giving — first-fruits and tithe, not hoarding.

Honest work & rest

Diligence is rewarded (Proverbs 14:23), and the daily limit teaches that rest is good and holy. (Genesis 2:2–3)

Hope of the gospel

Heaven is portrayed with care and hope; God is shown as light, never a figure — pointing to Jesus as the way. (John 14:6)

🍇

“I built VineBlocks for my own 8-year-old son — a place he could build and explore freely that I never had to worry about. No chat, no strangers, no ads. Just a good, safe world that points him to Jesus.”

For churches & ministries

A safe world your youth group can share

VineBlocks is built for private, invite-only play — which makes it a natural fit for a children’s ministry or youth group. Imagine a Wednesday-night Bible study where students build together in a walled garden, earn rewards for memorizing Scripture, and serve the “least of these” — all with zero chat and zero strangers.

Private group codes

A leader owns one room and shares a code with their group — no kid accounts, no strangers, no one else can join.

A Bible-study tool

Use it as a hands-on lesson: complete Scripture challenges and quests together, then talk about what they learned.

Earn rewards

Students earn in-game “blessings” for memorizing verses and serving others — a fun, faith-building incentive.

Questions?

Parent FAQ

The things parents ask most. Still unsure? Read the full safety model or email us.

Is it really free?

Yes — completely free, forever. There are no ads, no in-app purchases, and nothing to sell your child. It’s made as a gift.

Can strangers talk to my child?

No. There is no chat and no typing to other players anywhere in the game — only movement and a few pre-approved emoji. And multiplayer is off by default and private-invite only, so there are no stranger worlds.

Do you collect my child’s personal information?

No — never. Your child has no account and we never ask for their name, email, age, photo, or location. Player names come from a fixed, curated list. See our Privacy Policy.

Wait — do parents or leaders have accounts?

Optionally, yes — and only grown-ups. To play, no account is ever needed. But a parent or church leader may create a free account (email + password) to manage dashboards, daily limits, or a group world. That account stores only an adult’s email — never anything about a child. Kids never sign up or sign in.

What devices does it work on?

Any modern browser — iPad, Chromebook, Windows, or Mac. Nothing to install. On iPad you can “Add to Home Screen” for a full-screen app feel.

Can I limit how long my child plays?

Yes. Set a daily play limit (“Sabbath Rest”) in Parent Settings or remotely from the Parent Dashboard — when it’s reached, the game gently winds down with a restful verse.

Is this good for a church or youth group?

Absolutely. A leader can run a private, invite-only world for their group with the Leader Dashboard — lock the room, keep building safe, and clear it anytime. Great as a Bible-study activity.

Ready to let them play?

Free forever. No download, no account. Just press play.
